FAQs

What are your rates?

$130 - Couples/Family Therapy

$105 - Individual Therapy; 50-60 Minute Session

Are you accepting new clients

Yes I am accepting new clients! I mostly have daytime openings (9am - 3pm CST), with limited evening availability. I am licensed to practice in Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado. Due to state telehealth regulations, I can only see clients who are physically present in one of those states at the time of our appointment.

How much do you charge?

My out of pocket rates are $105 for individual therapy and $130 for couples therapy.

Do you accept insurance?

I currently accept Aetna, Cigna, and Optum/United Healthcare insurance at my private practice. If I do not accept your insurance, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance provide for reimbursement. Please note that repayment is at the sole discretion of your insurance provider. Also note that submitting an insurance claim means I will need to make a mental health diagnosis.

Do you have a sliding scale?

The cost of out-of-pocket therapy averages anywhere between $125-$175 per session in the Greater Kansas City area. My goal is to be mindful regarding the cost of maintaining a private practice, and the fact that paying $125 a week for therapy is a financial burden many cannot afford. I intentionally set my current rates so that there would not be a need to have a sliding scale fee for most people. I am happy to make referrals for outside treatment sources that offer low-cost/no-cost services with prospective clients.

How often will we meet?

Typically I prefer to meet with clients once a week or twice a month at the very least. Change requires consistently practicing the skills acquired in therapy. It is very difficult to maintain lasting changes by only attending sessions once a month or so. However, I realize that every situation is different and I certainly take into account financial circumstances that may make weekly therapy impossible. We will discuss all available options when we meet.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require at least 24 hours notice for all cancellations. You are responsible for paying for the appointment if you no show or cancel less than 24 hours in advance. I do understand that emergency situations come up, and I will do my best to work with you on a case-by-case basis.
